YWAM Sendai welcomes contact from prospective students, prospective staff, outreach teams, guests, churches, supporters, and others who want to learn more about the community and its mission.

Because many of our audience are young people, messaging apps are often the easiest and most natural way to contact us. Email is still available, but it is not the main way most people first connect.

Best ways to contact YWAM Sendai

For most people, the best way to begin is through one of our messaging platforms:

  • Discord: an open community space and one of the main ways people connect with YWAM Sendai
  • LINE: especially useful for Japanese-language inquiries
  • Instagram messages: useful for informal questions and first contact

How is Discord used?

YWAM Sendai’s Discord server is open to external people and functions as an ongoing communication space for the wider community.

It includes:

  • previous DTS graduates
  • current participants
  • people connected for Christian community
  • communication for future DTS, DBS, and other schools

For many people, Discord is one of the easiest ways to begin connecting with YWAM Sendai and to stay in touch over time.

When should I use the application form?

If you are interested in taking a more concrete next step, the application form is usually the best route.

This includes:

  • student applications
  • staff applications
  • outreach team inquiries
  • guest or visitor stay inquiries

If the form is the main intake route for these kinds of requests, it is often better than sending a long email first.
